Whole Body Cryotherapy was originally designed as a treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Inflammatory Joint Diseases. Proving extremely effective, Whole-body Cryotherapy quickly gained notoriety for that specific issue, but also to treat systemic inflammation throughout the body that can be beneficial for athletic recovery, pain management and beauty & wellness.

Cryotherapy is a modern take on the traditional ice bath and involves exposing the body for 3 minutes to ultra-low temperatures ranging from -200°F and -256 °F. With Whole Body Cryotherapy, the chronic inflammation is reduced and improving circulation, reducing pain and promoting an overall better health.

Be The Better Version of You With Refresh Cryo

Q: Is it cold or painful?

A: Yes, it is cold but not painful. The temperatures are very tolerable and a trained Refresh Cryo CryoTech will talk you though the process and never leave your side.

Q: What do I wear?

A: Refresh Cryo will provide all your protective wear for your treatment. We ask that ladies leave on their undergarments and men wear cotton boxers. We can provide you with boxers if you do not have any. Newly applied lotions or any moisture on your skin should be wiped off. No jewelry or metals can be worn below the neck.

Q: Is there anything dangerous about cryotherapy ?

A: No, unless conducted by an untrained technician or if you have a contraindication. The cooling agent, nitrogen, is in 78% of the air we breathe every day. Refresh Cryo technicians running your sessions are fully trained on safety and operational protocols and are capable of stopping the session if you should want to get out before your session is done. Likewise, there is no lock on the door of the cryochamber so you can step out at any time.

Q: How long will my first appointment take?

A: The first appointment with Refresh Cryo can take about 30 minutes. We like to fully educate our clients and help with any questions they may have. After the first appointment, typically a Refresh Cryo client can get in and out in 12-15 minutes.

Q: Will I feel anything after my first session?

A: Because the effects of cryotherapy are different for every client, it will depend entirely on how your body reacts to the session. Typically, most clients feel an increase of energy and flexibility and a decrease of inflammation within the first few minutes or hours. Some clients feel the first impact the next morning after a sleep cycle. Many report noticing a deeper sleep and feeling reduced pain and inflammation the following 48-72 hours.

Q: How often should I do cryotherapy ?

A: This is very dependent on what you are using cryotherapy for. We recommend compounding treatments in the beginning. 2-3 times in a 7-10 day period for the best results.
